Union City Council Approves Preliminary Subdivision for Saint John Newman Church Property
The Union City Council considered and approved a preliminary subdivision for Saint John Newman's second edition, located at 1330 Deerwood Drive. The proposal aims to divide a 4.23-acre property into two lots: Lot 1, approximately 3.1 acres, will be retained by the church for various uses including small meetings, events, and potentially a future priest residence; and Lot 2, approximately 1.14 acres, which the church intends to sell. The Advisory Planning Commission had previously recommended approval after a public hearing on June 23rd, with no residents in attendance. The applicant, represented by Dan Rossini, confirmed the plans and addressed council questions regarding zoning and potential future uses of the subdivided lots. The preliminary subdivision was approved by the council.
