Staff recommended approval, noting that the request aligns with the fund's intent. The annual PILOT payment is approximately $30,000.

The Traffic Advisory Committee and city staff agreed that the flashing crosswalk would improve safety. An ADA ramp is also required on the east side of Taylor Avenue. The project will be funded through the street traffic signals account, with the USD457 covering half the cost of the flashing crosswalk equipment and materials for the ADA ramp, totaling $3,600 for the city's share. The installation is intended to be completed before the start of the school year.
