Staff assured that relocation assistance would be considered for displaced businesses.
Glenview Declares Surplus Vehicles and Equipment for Disposal
The Board of Trustees considered an ordinance for first consideration to declare certain village vehicles and equipment as surplus property and authorize their disposition. Items included old bicycles, workout equipment, safety helmets, three older model arrow boards, a 20-year-old Chevy Impala (total loss from accident), a 12-year-old police transit van, and replaced public works trucks. Police items will be auctioned, donated, or disposed of. The Impala will be paid out by insurance. Other vehicles and arrow boards will be sold at auction. The ordinance was approved.
