Jersey City Council Addresses Budget Deficit with State Aid, Tax Increases, and Ordinance Votes

The Jersey City Municipal Council convened for a regular meeting on July 15th, 2026. After roll call and a moment of silence, council members reviewed the agenda. Councilman Efos provided updates on council family members, including a member involved in a hit-and-run and congratulations for Councilman Gilmore's nuptials and Councilwoman Little and Deputy Mayor Poda's birthdays.
