Lodi Borough Council Reviews 2026 Budget, Approves Resolutions, and Introduces Ordinances

The Borough Council held a public hearing to receive comments on the 2026 municipal budget. Following the hearing, a motion was made and seconded to close the public hearing. The council then proceeded to approve minutes from various previous meetings, including executive and regular sessions held in June 2026. Subsequently, the council addressed resolutions, including refunds of escrow, confirmations of police department appointments, approval of bills for July 2026, and the renewal of a liquor license for EMK Industries LLC. The meeting also included the introduction and adoption of several ordinances, such as amendments to the fee schedule and towing ordinance, and ordinances related to dog licensing and fees for summer recreation, billboards, and road openings. A bond ordinance was also introduced to authorize the installation of a metal storage garage for the Department of Public Works at 22 Walnut Street, with an appropriation of $235,000.
