LinkedIn Campus Development Agreement Amendment Recommended for Approval
The zoning administrator considered a request to amend a development agreement for LinkedIn's Middlefield campus. The amendment seeks a five-year extension for phase two of an office development, extending the term to 2034. This extension would allow for the completion of two new office buildings (approximately 430,000 square feet) and the full payment of impact fees. The original approval was in 2018, with phase one completed in late 2021. A previous three-year extension was granted in 2022. The request is a recommendation to the city council, with a final decision anticipated on October 13th. A public benefit fee of $1.6 million is proposed.
Conditional Use Permit Approved for Animal Service Establishment
The zoning administrator approved a conditional use permit for an animal service establishment, including overnight boarding, at 1132 Independence Avenue. The establishment will operate in an existing industrial building. Staff determined the project is categorically exempt from further environmental review under CEQA Section 15301 (existing facilities). The decision is appealable to the city council within 10 calendar days.
