Park and Recreation Scholarship Policy Expanded to Include Wellness Center Memberships
The City Council approved an update to the park and recreation department's scholarship policy. The current policy only allows scholarships for program-related fees and activities. The update will extend eligibility to include three-month memberships to the South Point Recreation and Wellness Center. This membership can be used one time per household or individual. Fire Department Rescue Squad to Provide Services at Motorcycle Hill Climb
The City Council approved the New Fire Department rescue squad to provide services for the Flying Dutchman Motorcycle Club hill climb event on Sunday, August 30th, 2026. The motion was made and seconded, and the council voted in favor.
Junior Pioneer Park Water Main Crossing Project Plans Approved, Bids to be Solicited

The variance allows amplified sound on August 29th and 30th, 2026. The motion to approve the resolution was made and seconded, and the council voted in favor.

The City Council accepted donations totaling $11,519.30 for the park and recreation department.
