City Approves Fourth Amendment to Verizon Tower Lease Agreement
The council approved the fourth amendment to the Verizon Tower lease agreement between the City of Palos Heights and Verizon. The amendment extends the lease, primarily for a period of 10 years with potential adjustments and bumps in the lease terms over time. Both parties have the ability to make adjustments or cancel the agreement over time. The motion was moved by Alderman Luendowski and seconded by Alderman McGro, and passed unanimously.

The motion was seconded by Alderman Begley and passed with a roll call vote.
City Declares Surplus Vehicle for Sale
The city council adopted an ordinance declaring a 2016 Ford Transit van with a specific VIN number as surplus property to be sold on IBID. The motion was seconded and passed with a roll call vote.
127th Street Bridge Project Faces Significant Delays
Alderman Clifford brought up concerns regarding the delay of the 127th Street bridge project between Cicero and Route 83. The project is now delayed until possibly the end of 2027, with initial planning deemed insufficient. The delay is due to difficulties in obtaining necessary replacement parts, which are on back order and require testing for structural ability. Work is ongoing, but may not be visible to commuters as it occurs underneath the bridge. There is a suggestion to contact state legislators to expedite the process. The city administrator had previously sent out an informative update on the status.
