Township Awards Cleaning Contract, Approves Tax Refund, and Finalizes Police Service Agreement
The board approved several procurement items, including awarding the cleaning bid to Service Master TBS for $46,253.78 and approving a tax assessment appeal agreement with Brittany Point Estates resulting in a refund of $6,572.80. They also ratified a conditional offer of employment for a police candidate and approved a service agreement with North Penn School District for police services.
Road Program Complete, Pole Barn Construction Underway, Drainage Project to Move Forward
The Engineering department provided updates on several ongoing projects. Construction for the 2026 road program is complete, with only punchlist items remaining. Site work for the Parks and Recreation Pole Barn is ongoing, with installation to begin soon. The Fox Run Drainage Improvements Project is scheduled for an award recommendation.
Merck Campus to See New Manufacturing Facility, Zoning Board Reviews Garage Height Variance Requests
The Planning and Zoning department reported on new land development applications at the Merck campus for a new manufacturing facility and a subdivision at 500 West Prospect for a new building lot. They also discussed zoning hearing board cases, including a withdrawal of an application at 700 South Broad Street and pending height variance requests for detached garages at 46 Harper Lane and 1687 Supley Road.
Upper Gwynedd Township Releases First Popular Annual Financial Report, Earns Distinguished Budget Award
The township presented its first ever Popular Annual Financial Report (PAFR), designed to be easily understandable for residents. The report details revenues, expenditures, financial health, and departmental accomplishments. The township also received the Government Finance Officers Association Distinguished Budget Presentation Award for 2026, a first for the township.
