In Gaudy Park phase two, DTE must relocate two light poles before paving. The pump house renovation is 95% complete. Updates were also given on water, sewer, and road projects, including the Second Street Reconstruction Project (substantially complete), Hover Street water main replacement (water main work complete, roadway reconstruction 50% complete, estimated completion Sept 1, 2026), Gloria Acres Road reconstruction (pre-construction meeting Aug 1st), Michigan Avenue slip lining (pre-construction meeting Aug 1st), and Atwood walking path reconstruction (pre-construction meeting by Aug 1st). The city manager also mentioned ongoing issues with Wayne Towers regarding a dumpster that is repeatedly left out, leading to tickets and ongoing enforcement.
Resident Alleges Police Chief Assaulted Resident, Cites Constitutional Concerns
