The bid amount is $69,329.89. This contract covers the refreshing of double yellow lines, solid white lines, and broken white lines on all city streets. The city received only one bid for this project after issuing a request for bid on April 27th, 2026, with bids due on May 28th, 2026. City staff have evaluated the bidder and found them to be suitable. The FY27 operating budget includes adequate funds for this item.
New K9 Team Certified and Deployed by Westminster Police Department
The Westminster Police Department has launched a new K9 team, consisting of PFC Brandon O'Neal and his partner Odin. They have successfully completed an 8-week training program and are now fully certified by the North American Police Working Dog Association as a patrol and narcotics detection team. They officially began their duties last week and are actively serving the citizens of Westminster. Odin, a one-and-a-half-year-old Belgian Malinois German Shepherd mix, was acquired from Hungary. The department expressed gratitude for their dedication and confidence in their service to the community.
