Yucca Valley Aquatic Recreation Center Nears Completion, 89% Finished
The Yucca Valley Town Council received and filed a quarterly project update for the Yucca Valley Aquatic Recreation Center (ARC). The update, provided by Jen Wagner from Dahlin, covered construction progress from April to June. Key developments include significant progress on the interior and exterior of the building, with visible milestones such as concrete paving, installation of glass fiber reinforced concrete (GFRC) panels, glazing, and exterior plaster. Inside, ceiling framing, rough-in work for electrical and HVAC, restroom tile, and casework installation are progressing. A deck slope issue in the natatorium pool deck is being addressed and may impact the schedule. The project is currently 89% complete with 78 calendar days remaining. The report also outlined the post-construction steps required before the facility can open to the public, including inspections, system testing, staff training, and final acceptance.
